Sport and Recreation

This high quality facility was built in 2012/13 and is located in the Gungahlin Town Centre in Crinnigan Circle. The ground is a D-shape configuration allowing for all football codes to be played there. There is a 1200 seat grandstand with 600 seats being undercover. The grandstand has double change rooms, canteen, first aid room, store rooms, large public toilets and a large 145sq m post match function room. Floodlighting is at match play standard and there is a large colour scoreboard. The ground will be irrigated using harvested stormwater from the nearby Valley Ponds and has an on-site storage tank and pump system. In addition floodlights to match play standard have been installed. There is parking outside of the ground and within the Town Centre Precinct. The playing surface is Legend couch grass with a transitional rye grass cover, which will improve playability, recover well from wear and tear and require less water than a straight cool season grass cover.
