Forestry Oval is located off Banks Street and sits within the CSIRO Forestry Products Research Facility. The ground is encircled by mature trees and is very picturesque with an amphitheatre shape. There is a canteen and toilet block in the north-western corner of the ground. There is a small sealed car park to the western side of the ground, and additional unsealed parking areas at the northern end. The ground has an AFL field and a turf wicket.

The nearby Yarralumla shops can be found by heading south along Banks Street and turning left into Benthan Street.
